Nitin Verma, Ph.D.

I am a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the AI & Society program jointly organized by the School for the Future of Innovation in Society (SFIS) at Arizona State University (ASU) and the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS).

  • I study public trust in AI, the co-shaping relationship between AI & society, and implications for policy.

  • My doctoral dissertation (at the School of Information at The University of Texas at Austin) conceptualized public trust in video, and assessed the impact of deepfake technology on public trust in video and in visual journalism.
